Hello, I’m Hazel

Hi, I’m Hazel Erika Diaz, a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) and Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) based in Calgary, Alberta. I work with individuals who are often high-functioning on the outside but quietly navigating anxiety, overthinking, self-doubt, or the feeling of being caught between “too much” and “not enough.”

Many of my clients are the ones others rely on — the helpers, the over-thinkers, the ones who learned early how to be strong, responsible, or emotionally aware. They may resonate with anxious attachment, ADHD, autism, or find themselves in the midst of a life transition where old ways of coping no longer fit. Whether you’re new to therapy or returning with deeper questions, you’re welcome here.

My approach is trauma-informed, relational, and emotionally attuned, with a solution-focused lens that helps translate insight into meaningful, practical change. Together, we explore how your nervous system, relationships, upbringing, and sense of identity intersect — and we also identify what’s already working, clarify what you want more of, and take small, intentional steps toward feeling more grounded and capable in your day-to-day life.

My work is also gently informed by my experience as a second-generation Filipino immigrant, shaping a sensitivity to cultural expectations, responsibility, and the quiet ways people learn to put others first.

You don’t have to carry everything alone. You deserve support that meets you where you are — with curiosity, care, and gentleness. If you’re ready to feel more connected, steady, and at home within yourself, I’d be honoured to walk alongside you.

Fumi Majaro

Hazel receives clinical supervision from Fumi Majaro, a Registered Psychotherapist and CRPO-approved Clinical Supervisor based in Ontario. Fumi brings a calm, grounded, and deeply attuned presence to her work — supporting both clients and supervisees in exploring the impacts of relational trauma, anxiety, self-worth, and identity development.

Fumi’s approach is rooted in empathy, collaboration, and curiosity. She offers a reflective space to unpack internalized narratives, patterns like people-pleasing and emotional dysregulation, and the deeper questions of “Who am I?” and “Am I enough?” Her work is trauma-informed and paced to meet each person where they are, often inviting powerful moments of insight through thoughtful, intentional questions.

In supervision, Fumi creates a safe, non-judgmental space that encourages growth, accountability, and clinical integrity. Hazel is grateful to be supported by a supervisor who embodies compassion, cultural awareness, and a deep commitment to healing and transformation.
